Cedar Hall Classical Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a part time Music/Performing Arts Aide. The Music/Performing Arts Aide supports the Music/Performing Arts Teacher in delivering engaging and effective music instruction to students. This position assists with classroom management, preparation of materials, instrument care, and supervision of students during instructional hours, rehearsals, performances, and classroom activities. The Music/Performing Arts Aide helps create a joyful, orderly, and encouraging learning environment where students can grow in musical/performing arts skills and appreciation.
Classroom Instruction: Assists the music/performing arts teacher during classes by managing materials, distributing supplies, and supporting students
Helps set up and break down equipment for classroom activities, rehearsals, and performances
Monitors student behavior and engagement, reinforcing classroom expectations
Supervises small groups or individual students during classroom activities and practice sessions
Aids in the preparation, organization, and maintenance of classroom materials
Assists with the logistics and supervision at rehearsals, assemblies, and performances, and performs other duties as assigned by the music teacher or school administration
Community Building: Actively contribute to building a vibrant academic and faith community, participating in events such living history events, field trips, and student showcases.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development provided by CHCA to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices in classical education and Christian pedagogy.
A demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Cedar Hall Classical Academy, including a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Experience in either formal teaching or homeschool education including a passion for working collaboratively with parents and students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment, with a willingness to embrace a Christ-centered, collaborative teaching model.
High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in music/performing arts preferred, though not required.
